Detour Ahead are a London-based jazz guitar and vocal duo rooted in the Great American Songbook. Featuring Denver and Kit—two seasoned performers who began gigging as teenagers—we bring warmth, style, and emotional depth to timeless standards. Denver, a West London-based jazz vocalist and two-time Lutenor Prize winner, draws on a strong tradition shaped through performances across top London venues. Kit adds a blues-tinged guitar style and deep experience as both a soloist and ensemble player on the jazz circuit.

Our sound is intimate and refined—ideal for bars, restaurants, boutique venues, and private events. We’re currently booking gigs where live jazz enhances the atmosphere and connects with audiences who value the craft behind the music.
