Modern Slavery Policy

MYMUSO Limited is committed to preventing slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. This statement sets out our approach.

1. Our structure, business and supply chains

MYMUSO Limited is a London-based live music agency. We book and manage live musicians, bands, DJs and related performers for weddings, corporate events and venues. MYMUSO is a small company led by Michael Evans, Director, with 1 fulltime employee and one contracted Social Media Manager. We do not manufacture goods.

Our supply chain is short and mainly UK-based. It consists of: self-employed professional musicians and performers booked for events; venues and clients we work with; and a small number of service providers (for example insurance, payment processing, website and software providers). We work closely with London Light & Sound for any large scale Audio and Sound Production needs. Most of our spend is on performers' fees, paid directly to the performers and digital marketing.

2. Our policies on slavery and human trafficking

We have zero tolerance of modern slavery in any form. We commit to:

Treating everyone who works with us fairly, paying agreed fees on time and at or above the applicable minimum wage, and for work delivered in London, the London Living Wage where it applies.

Using only people who are free to work, who choose to work with us, and who can leave at any time.

Never withholding identity documents, charging recruitment fees to workers, or using threats or coercion.

Working only with suppliers and performers who share these standards, and ending any relationship where we find evidence of slavery or trafficking.

Encouraging anyone to raise concerns, and not penalising anyone for doing so in good faith.

This policy sits alongside our other business policies, including [list any, e.g. equality and diversity, data protection]. It is owned by the Director.

3. Due diligence

Before we work with a new performer or supplier we: check who they are and their right to work in the UK, where they are contracted through us; agree written terms (the performer or hire agreement) that set out the fee, the work and the expected standards; and make sure payment is made directly and on time. We ask suppliers to confirm that they comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We keep records of agreements for every booking. We review these checks each year and when our business changes.

4. Areas of risk and how we assess and manage them

We assess our overall risk as low, because our work is delivered mainly by skilled, self-employed UK performers who set their own terms, and our suppliers are established UK businesses. We still recognise potential risks in: events staffed by third parties (for example catering and venue staff), overseas or short-notice performers, and equipment or merchandise sourcing. We manage these by using reputable venues and suppliers, asking performers and suppliers about their own practices, briefing our team to spot warning signs, and acting on any concern. [Edit to match your actual operation.]

5. Measuring effectiveness

We measure how well this policy is working through: the number of concerns raised and resolved (target: all raised concerns reviewed within 5 working days); the percentage of performers and suppliers with signed agreements in place (target: 100%); the percentage of performers paid within agreed terms (target: 100%); and the percentage of our team trained (target: 100%). We review these figures annually and will publish any significant findings. [Insert last year's results or "no concerns have been raised to date".]

6. Training and capacity building

All members of our team who book or manage performers and suppliers receive training on the signs of modern slavery and how to report it, on joining and then annually. [Describe the training you will use, for example the free Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority or Home Office guidance, or the Modern Slavery Assessment Tool.] We share this policy with performers and suppliers when we agree terms.

Reporting a concern

Anyone can raise a concern with Michael Evans at mike@mymuso.co.uk. The Modern Slavery Helpline (0800 012 1700) offers confidential support, and the police should be called on 999 if someone is in immediate danger.
